# Framer Integration

> Sync articles from ChatFeatured to your Framer CMS

The ChatFeatured Framer integration allows you to publish articles directly to your Framer CMS. Once set up, generate articles in ChatFeatured and sync them to Framer with a single click.

**Status:** Available | **Setup time:** 5-10 minutes | **Complexity:** Beginner

## Why Framer?

Framer's plugin architecture makes setup straightforward. The ChatFeatured plugin automatically handles article syncing while you maintain full control over your content and design within Framer.

<Info>
  The Framer integration uses a dedicated plugin that runs directly in your Framer project. This means seamless syncing with automatic CMS collection configuration—no manual setup required.

## Managing Your Content

### After Syncing

Once articles sync to Framer, you can:

* **Edit** article content in Framer's CMS editor
* **Style** articles with Framer's design system
* **Schedule** publication within Framer
* **Organize** articles into categories or collections

### Updating Articles

If you update an article in ChatFeatured after syncing, you can re-sync it. Framer will prompt you to update or create a new version.

### Deleting Articles

Deleting an article in ChatFeatured doesn't delete it from Framer. You manage deletions within Framer's CMS.

## Advanced Configuration

### Multiple CMS Collections

If you have different article types (blog, news, tutorials), you can create separate integrations for each collection.

### Custom Metadata

Framer preserves custom metadata fields during sync. ChatFeatured automatically maps:

* Title → CMS Title field
* Content → CMS Body field
* Featured Image → CMS Image field
* Excerpt → CMS Description field

### Batch Syncing

Generate multiple articles in ChatFeatured, then sync them all to Framer at once through the plugin.

<Tip>
  For large batches (15+ articles), allow extra time for syncing to complete. Monitor the plugin status or check for completion email.

## Best Practices

* Enable email notifications to know when articles are ready
* Test with a single article before syncing batches
* Keep your API Key secure
* Review articles in Framer before publishing live
* Monitor sync progress for large batches

<Warning>
  **Don't** share your API Key\
  **Don't** manually sync while Framer is syncing (wait for completion)\
  **Don't** delete the ChatFeatured CMS collection in Framer (you'll lose sync capability)
</Warning>

***

## Performance Notes

Syncing typically completes within 2-5 minutes per article. For batch syncs:

* **1-5 articles:** 5-10 minutes
* **6-15 articles:** 15-20 minutes
* **15+ articles:** Allow 30+ minutes

Large articles with images may take longer. Monitor the plugin status or check for completion email.
