This guide walks you through setting up ChatFeatured end-to-end — from creating your account to publishing your first AI-optimized article. Most teams finish in under 10 minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Go to chatfeatured.com/login
  2. Sign up with your email or Google account
  3. Verify your email address

Step 2: Set Up Your Organization

After signing in, you’ll be prompted to create your organization:
  1. Enter your organization name (e.g., your company name)
  2. This creates your workspace where you can invite team members later
Are you an agency? If you need to manage multiple brands or clients, contact our agency team. We’ll help you set up multi-brand accounts and get the most out of ChatFeatured for your agency.

Step 3: Add Your First Brand

Brands represent the companies or products you want to track:
  1. Click Add Brand in the dashboard
  2. Enter your brand name (exactly as you want to track it)
  3. Add your website URL
  4. Choose your default location and content language

Step 4: Prompts Are Automatically Set Up

During onboarding, ChatFeatured automatically creates prompts for your brand based on real keywords and searches your customers are likely asking AI models. These prompts run automatically every day across all major AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, Copilot, and Meta AI).

Step 5: Add Competitors

To compare your visibility against competitors:
  1. Go to Competitors in the sidebar
  2. Click Add Competitor
  3. Enter competitor names and websites
  4. ChatFeatured will track them in all your prompt results

Step 6: Set Up Your Knowledge Base

Your Knowledge Base gives the AI agents context about your brand so they can generate content that actually sounds like you. This is the single biggest lever for improving the quality of AI-generated articles.
  1. Go to Knowledge Base in the sidebar
  2. Click Import from URL and paste your About page and main product pages — ChatFeatured will extract and categorize the content automatically
  3. Add any of the following to fill in gaps:
    • Company overview — what you do and who you serve
    • Products and services — features, use cases, and pricing positioning
    • Target audience — customer profiles and pain points
    • Brand voice — tone, terminology, and key messages
    • Differentiators — what makes you unique vs. alternatives
Start with your About page and top product pages — that alone is usually enough for the agents to produce on-brand drafts. You can refine it later as your strategy evolves.

Step 7: Connect Your Integrations

Integrations let ChatFeatured publish content directly to your site and track AI crawler activity. You don’t need all of them — pick what matches your stack.

Connect Your CMS

Connect at least one CMS so the Content Agent can publish articles in one click:

WordPress

Native plugin. 5–10 minute setup.

Webflow

API-based integration with your Webflow CMS.

Framer

Native plugin. Sync content automatically.

Ghost

API-based publishing to your Ghost publication.

Track AI Crawlers (Optional)

See exactly when GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, and other AI crawlers visit your site:

Cloudflare Workers

Best for sites on Cloudflare

Vercel Log Drains

Best for sites on Vercel

Submit URLs to AI Search Engines (Optional)

Verify your domain once, then automatically submit URLs to ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude:

Index Submissions

Verify ownership and start submitting URLs to AI search engines

Step 8: Create Your First Article with the Content Agent

The Content Agent turns your brand data, keyword research, and visibility gaps into a content strategy — then writes the articles for you.
  1. Click the Articles icon in the sidebar
  2. Click Let’s get started — the Insights Agent will:
    • Read your Knowledge Base to understand your brand
    • Pull real Google Ads keyword data for your space
    • Analyze where you’re missing visibility across AI models
    • Generate a prioritized list of article suggestions
  3. Review the suggestions in the sidebar — each one includes a title, why it matters, linked prompts, and priority
  4. Approve the articles you want written (up to 3 write in parallel; the rest queue automatically)
  5. Articles complete in 2–3 minutes with research, citations, and your brand voice baked in
  6. Refine the draft with the Article Editing Agent — select text and ask for tweaks, or ask it to pull more context from your Knowledge Base
  7. Publish directly to your connected CMS, or schedule it for later
Ask the Insights Agent for “more suggestions” any time and it will generate 2–4 additional articles that complement your existing strategy without duplicating topics.
