The Brand Book is where ChatFeatured keeps what it knows about your project: its name, domain, a description of what you do, your industry, your product categories, and the customer personas you’re trying to reach. The agent, article writing and prompt suggestions all read from it.
Open it from Brand > Brand Book in the sidebar. It needs an active or trialing plan. Viewers can read it but not edit it.
Create your brand book
If the project has no brand book yet, the page shows Create Your Brand Book. Click Generate Brand Book and ChatFeatured analyzes your website at the project’s domain. It writes the brand book and one customer persona, both of which you can edit afterwards.
Projects without a real website domain can’t generate one. Fill in the form instead: Short Description (required), Description, Industry and Product/Service Categories, then click Save Brand Book.
The Brand tab
Identity
- Logo: upload a JPEG, PNG, GIF or WebP under 2 MB.
- Brand Name and Domain: click the pencil to edit them. Changing either affects how mentions of your project are matched in AI answers, so you’re asked to confirm first.
- Default Country: the tracking country used when new prompts are added.
- Name Variations: alternative names or spellings used to detect your project in source pages. Add abbreviations, old names or common misspellings.
Identity changes save as soon as you click Done, add a variation or upload a logo.
Description
- Short Description: a brief summary of what you do.
- Description: a fuller description of your products and services.
- Industry: for example “Automotive Manufacturing - Hybrid & Electric Vehicles”.
- Product/Service Categories: type a category and click Add.
These fields don’t save on their own. Click Save Changes in the bar at the bottom, or Cancel to discard them.
The Personas tab
A persona describes a type of customer. Each has a Name, Description, Age Range and Education Level.
- Click Add Persona, fill in the fields, then click Create Persona.
- Click the pencil on a persona to edit it, then click Save.
- To delete a persona, click the pencil, then the trash icon next to Save. Prompts linked to it stay, they just lose the link.
How ChatFeatured uses it
- The agent reads the brand book before answering questions about your project. See The ChatFeatured agent.
- Article writing uses your project name, domain, industry and short description as brand context for every article. Writing rules belong in Agent > Guidelines, not in the brand book.
- Prompt suggestions under Prompt Tracker > Suggestions are written for each persona: the searches that persona would type when looking for products like yours. More accurate personas give you more relevant suggestions. See Prompts.
- Mention matching uses your brand name and domain to find your project in AI answers. Name variations help detect it in the pages those answers cite.
You can also ask the agent to update the brand book or manage personas, for example “add a persona for procurement managers at mid-size companies”. Last modified on October 22, 2026
