Connect Plausible Analytics to bring your site’s traffic into Website Analytics and the dashboard’s Website Traffic widget. You can use Plausible on its own or connect GA4 as well and switch between them. Status: Available

Before you start

You need a site already collecting data in Plausible Cloud, a plan with Stats API access, and permission to manage integrations for your ChatFeatured project. This integration reads your existing analytics; it does not install Plausible’s tracking script. Plausible currently includes Stats API access on its Business plan. Check the Plausible Stats API documentation for access requirements. Self-hosted Plausible instances are not supported.

Connect Plausible

Create a Stats API key

In Plausible, select the team that owns the site. Open your account settings, go to API Keys, and create a new key with the Stats API type. Save the key when it is shown.Keys belong to one team. Access to a site as a guest does not grant your own team’s key access to it. See Plausible’s authentication guide for details.

Open the integration

Select your project in ChatFeatured, then go to Integrations → Website analytics → Plausible Analytics.You can also choose Connect Plausible Analytics from Website Analytics or the Website Traffic widget.

Enter your site and key

Enter the Site ID exactly as it appears in Plausible, such as example.com, and paste your Stats API key.Click Connect Plausible Analytics. ChatFeatured checks access to the site before saving the connection.

View your reports

Click View website analytics. Plausible becomes the selected provider for this project in your browser.Reports load for the selected date range. Recent results are reused for up to five minutes; the next report request after that fetches fresh data.

What you can see

  • Visitors, pageviews, sessions, and daily trends.
  • AI referral traffic by platform, including ChatGPT and Perplexity.
  • Landing pages, traffic sources, bounce rate, and visit duration.
  • Conversions from the goals you configure in Plausible, plus revenue when available.
The Users count in shared reports represents Plausible visitors. Conversions count goal completions, so one visit can produce multiple conversions. ChatFeatured’s shared conversion rate divides conversions by sessions; it can differ from Plausible’s visitor-based goal conversion rate.

Engagement

The channel comparison uses Plausible’s Bounce Rate and average visit duration. Plausible’s bounce rate measures visits without another pageview or an interactive custom event. We display that metric directly; its definition differs from GA4 engagement rate. See Plausible’s metric definitions.

Revenue

ChatFeatured reads total_revenue from goal-filtered reports and keeps the currency returned by Plausible. A — means Plausible has no usable revenue total for that report. A tracked total of zero displays as zero. To enable revenue, open your site’s Goals in Plausible, add a custom event goal, enable revenue tracking, and choose its base currency. Your website must then send the event with the purchase amount and currency. Connecting the Stats API alone does not start revenue collection. Follow Plausible’s revenue tracking guide for setup and troubleshooting. Goals with different base currencies cannot produce a combined revenue total. Use a consistent reporting currency for the goals you want to total together. These reports exclude historical data imported into Plausible from another analytics service. The provider switcher appears only when both GA4 and Plausible are fully set up. See Website Analytics for report controls and provider switching.

Update or disconnect

To rotate a key or change sites, return to Integrations → Plausible Analytics, enter the site ID and a new key, and click Update connection. The saved key is never displayed again. A successful update clears cached reports so the next request uses the new connection. To remove the integration, click Disconnect and confirm. This removes the connection and its cached reports from ChatFeatured. Your Plausible account and source data remain available, and a connected GA4 integration can still be selected.
